Adolescents & Teenagers

Finding Your Voice, Identity, and Sense of Self

Adolescence is a time of rapid change - emotionally, socially, and physically. Teens often feel caught between wanting independence and still needing support. I work with adolescents navigating body image concerns, shifting friendships, challenging family dynamics, questions about identity, and uncertainty about the future. Therapy can be a space to build self-understanding, strengthen communication skills, and develop confidence in who they are and who they are becoming. Please note that my work with adolescents and teens often includes active involvement from parents and other caregivers - we’ll see the most consistent rewarding results when everyone is on board.

You might be asking yourself:

  • “Why do I feel so uncomfortable in my body or with myself?”

  • “Why do friendships feel so complicated or exhausting?”

  • “How do I talk to my parents without it turning into a fight?”

  • “What does my gender or sexuality mean for me?”

  • “What if I don’t know what I want to do after high school?”

  • “Is something wrong with me, or is this just a hard stage of life?”
